About

I play a 70 Gnome Warlock, Holdwine, on the RP realm Sentinels. I have been playing World of Warcraft since August 2006.

“Kilrogg Was Here” is my personal diary of my experiences in Azeroth and Outland.  For those curious about the title, Eye of Kilrogg is a seldom-used spell available to Warlocks starting at level 22. The Eye is actually another summonable Demon and can be used like the Hunter’s Eyes of the Beast spell to scout an area without actually putting the Warlock in danger.

As for the rest of the title, during World War II, American soldiers would carve, scrawl, or draw a “calling card” of sorts on buildings, walls, etc., that they came across as they marched across Europe and the Pacific. “Kilroy Was Here” became a sort of legend. Who was Kilroy? How did the trend get started? No one knows for sure, though there has been a lot of speculation.

“Kilrogg Was Here” is a way for me to make my mark, however meager, on the ever-lengthening wall of text growing around this game, World of Warcraft. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts on this game that has become an almost archetypal standard of American popular culture.
