Since I last wrote, back in May, not much has happened in my online life. I’ve been playing somewhat erratically, for a whole host of reasons. During the summer, my wife and son are home more, and they stay up later. Typically I do not play in the evening until they are both in bed, or at least otherwise occupied, so I don’t feel as if I am ignoring them.
Also, this time of year there is usually more important things to do than killing monsters in an MMORPG. Sorry to say, but yes it is true. For one thing, since the sun sets later in the day, I usually wait until around eight to mow the yard so as not to die of heat exhaustion. Eight is prime raid time…but not for me, anymore.
This weekend alone, I mowed, power-washed the house, deck, and front porch, applied a weather seal to the porch and deck, grilled late into the evening on Saturday for friends and family, and ferried my son back and forth from home to soccer camp, then the swimming pool, and then back home again.
I expect July and August to be a little less eventful, but I am prepared to be proven wrong in that regard.
But this is a WoW blog, not a diary of my summertime activities.
What have I been doing in World of Warcraft?
